Volunteers + Interns

Oak Street Studios accepts applications for volunteers and interns throughout the year. Positions offer opportunities to learn aspects of small business management, arts education, curating and installing youth art shows, fundraising, special event coordination, and public relations. Responsibilities range from assisting teachers in class to data entry, compiling press materials, and organizing unique arts events. We are especially seeking individuals who are considering a future in the visual arts as artists and/or educators.

Scheduling of work time can be flexible to fit each intern’s needs. Class times however are not flexible.

Helpful Skills:
Successful candidates will have experience and general knowledge of teaching in the visual arts, will be motivated to work in a changing environment, and will want to be part of a team contributing to a lively downtown arts environment.
