Our curriculum covers a wide variety of classes designed to fit the ability, experience, and interest of any student. We use a trimester schedule through the school year, but students may enroll at any time.

The Maine Artery

The Maine Artery is the parent company of Oak Street Studios and offers programming for both kids and adults, including our ever-popular First Friday drop-off. Kids create art while adults enjoy the art walk!

ABOUT OUR CLASSES...

Classes are 1 hour or 1 1/2 hours and meet once a week for three trimesters. Our "College for Kids" curriculum means that students are introduced to methods and materials inspired by college courses and taught by instructors who are practicing artists within our community. Our projects are based in art history and children's literature; we use fine arts materials and incorporate local field trips. We also host a First Friday Art Walk opening of student work at the end of each trimester!
